Why Choose the SCAR 16S SBR?
The SCAR 16S SBR is a high-performance short barrel rifle designed for flexibility without compromising reliability. The 10-inch barrel shortens the profile significantly, making it perfect for home defense, vehicle deployment, or suppressed builds. With its FDE finish, this version adds both utility and style to your compact 5.56 platform.
About the 10" FN Short Barrel:
This model includes the 10-inch factory FN barrel with 1/2x28 threads, compatible with common 5.56 muzzle devices. The SCAR’s short-stroke gas system ensures consistent function and reliability, even in this reduced-length configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is included in the FN SCAR 16S SBR package?
This package includes a brand new FN SCAR 16S rifle in Flat Dark Earth, converted by Armory of Kings into a short barrel rifle. It features a 10-inch FN barrel, flash hider, compliant NFA engraving, and comes with the factory box, magazine, and manual.
Is this a registered SBR?
Yes. This rifle is legally classified as a short barrel rifle and will be transferred on a Form 3 to your selected FFL/SOT. All NFA regulations apply.
Is a tax stamp required?
Yes. A $200 tax stamp and approved Form 4 are required to take final possession. Your FFL/SOT dealer will assist with the process.
Can I request the original 16" barrel?
The original factory barrel is removed as part of the conversion and available for separate purchase. It is not included with the SBR.
Can I use a suppressor with the SCAR 16S SBR?
Yes, but proper configuration is critical. Suppressing a SCAR without adjusting the gas system can cause immediate and severe damage. We strongly recommend using the Imperial Arms Buffered Bolt Carrier (BBC) and a KNS Discarder adjustable gas regulator to safely manage excess gas pressure.
Who performs the conversion and engraving?
All work is completed by Armory of Kings (National Firearm Sales Inc), a licensed FFL/SOT located in Boca Raton, Florida.
Are upgrades included?
No. The rifle ships with the standard FN stock and trigger module. Additional accessories can be purchased separately to further enhance the platform.
Does the SBR conversion void the factory warranty?
Yes. Converting the rifle into an SBR voids the FN factory warranty. While we ensure proper function upon delivery, Armory of Kings does not offer a warranty on the firearm itself.
